I am certified SanDan(3rd Degree Black) in American Open Style Karate, authorized by Headmaster Jerry Piddington, American Karate Academies National Association(AKANA) under the sanctified charter of Grandmaster Robert Trias, Okinawan Shuri Ryu. I am currently an instructor under Hanshi Danny McCall at McCall's American Freestyle Karate Club, Denver, N.C. Instructors include Grandmaster Jerry Piddington, Hanshi Danny McCall and Renshi Joe McClellan. Other Senseis include Matt McCall, Harvey Sharpe, Randy Sharpe, and Ron Carroll. I am most proficient in the striking, smashing style of Shuri Ryu Okinawan Karate but am also well trained in Brazilian Jui jitsu under Renshi Joe McClellan. I began my journey in 1995, certified Shodan 1/12/02, certified NiDan 1/12/03, certified Sandan 12/1/07. Currently working on Yondan rank pending time in grade requirements etc. I am currently 49 years old, 50 in September
